GLIMPSES OF GEISHA – A ‘VIRTUAL’ ART EXHIBITION

A first for Excursions Japan, I hope you’ll enjoy this online exhibition of Japan-influenced paintings by a friend of mine, Lillian Oishi. If you would like information on purchasing a print, or commissioning an original one, e-mail me at excursionsjapan@gmail.com

An emerging young artist to look out for, Lillian Oishi, has a love of music and graphic design. Born to an American mother and a Japanese father, she blends both cultures into her work. In this exhibition, Glimpses of Geisha, Lillian has used acrylic paints to showcase ‘tradition revisited’… life in Gion, in soothing tones, but with a modern graphic look. The paintings capture scenes that aren’t always noticed, but as a whole, show the beauty of a Geisha’s unique world.

  1. These are wonderful though not really my colors. I’d love to know size and prices to consider a commission.
